Bailey Arison

Bailey Arison is a rich girl who's grown up traumatized and tired, unfortunately, against her will: Becomes a digidestined. Her plan to disappear from the world at age 22 suddenly isn't viable! What does she do to cope? ... Well, she doesn't know. Mother that little devil and freak out about it, she guesses. She does her best to remain stable appearing, put together & still respectable, but her team sees her as a sad wet cat. Oh well. What can you do?

History

Born December 11th, 2003, Bailey Silvia Arison is the second and final child of David Arison. Her mother, Sadie Druerie, disappeared when Bailey was about 2 years old. Presumed dead, David remarried almost immediately to his current and third wife; Nancy Arison. Bailey has rather faint memory of the woman, but looks almost identical to her -- and longs to remember more, remember better. David rids the home Bailey once knew of all reminders of her birth mother before she has the chance to learn better.

Bailey lives under strict rules most of her life. She does not have much freedom in her time, and takes to sharpening herself into whatever it is her parents want her to be. Perfect, pointed, clean -- a scarless victim. She conforms to it all. At age 4 she meets Aspyn D'ambrosi, her best and only friend. Affectionately nicknamed "Lala" until they're about 12, which is when Aspyn begins his transition. From ages 10 to 15, Bailey acts as (Aspyn's little brother) Griffin's babysitter. He is her first baby in life ... at age 15, Bailey succumbs to the abuse of her father. The years of grooming, of conditioning, finally press fully down on her mind. She gives in to the fact that she will grow into only what David wants; and numbs herself of what she loves. She grows as cruel as she can to Aspyn, lacks contact with her estranged brother (Leiv Stone), and shuts herself in. She plans her suicide for her 25th birthday. Directly after graduation, she is admitted to a college. During open-house orientation, she faces an assault via another student, which further serves to break her spirits. She isolates until she can move for the first day.

Much to Bailey's dismay, after a slow 20 minutes pass on her first day, Aspyn arrives to the very class she is in. She panics, but upon their reunion, she cannot find it in herself to continue her faux hatred, and succumbs to the truth: Missing her best friend. They chat, and are quickly interuppted by Claire Porter and Wren Bradley, conversation escalating until they are removed from class. In the hallway, their bickering continues -- until the rest of their party (Puma Wesson, Beryl Kasami) arrives slowly, leading to greater confusion. Upon discovering Aspyn's smuggled Wormmon and Digivice, and the pausing of time -- the group panics .. and is quickly met with their new partner digimon. Reactions vary, but Bailey is met with an aggressive, foul-mouthed devil dubbed "IMPMON X." The Digimon doesn't seem enthused to be paired with her, but beyond her panic, she feels immediately responsible for him. Mother-bird instinct, almost. As the group takes their own paths, she and Impmon walk, and on the way to their destination she regards him with the name "Reth." -- it sticks. Reth is her second baby. She spends the current months caring for Reth, and trying to repair her realtionship with Aspyn -- as well as honing her crest, Friendship.

Appearance Notes

Freckles are required, but can be simplified. Lashes and brows can be drawn black for simplicity if needed. Thigh scars are sporadic and don't have to be exact. Shoulder scar is not optional, if shoulder is showing, draw it !! please .. Don't draw her lighter, ever. Do not change her body type unless you're drawing her older self, in which she gains some weight. DO NOT MASCULINIZE HER. Have fun otherwise.

Personality

Caring; The quickest to drop everything to care for someone else, especially someone younger, someone vaulnerable. It is of her own belief that all living things deserve to be cared for, no matter personal bias.

Confrontational; She was raised not to cause issues, but she is a girl who unfortunately still has her father's temper and her mother's stubborness. She barks back in people's faces often, and isn't quiet about it when she's given damning proof of wrongdoing. Unless you're Aspyn, but, whatever.

More fearful than brave; Beaten into submission for all her life, she can't be asked to be the bravest. She shuts down in most faces of danger, and is quick to give in to her fears and phovias. (...Horses. Horse phobia.)
